The union of two leading companies to offer the most complete solutions in the fruit and vegetable industry.

The Giró Group has acquired most of the capital of the company Serfruit and also of the company Sersuport that offers its technical service. In this way, both companies are integrated into the Giró Group, which becomes the main world reference for integral solutions for the fruit and vegetable industry. With this integration, the Giró Group adds to its offer of packaging of fruits and vegetables in netting all the capacity to automate the packing plants from selection to palletizing, as well as being able to be present in other sectors thanks to the automation solutions provided by Serfruit.

The owners until today of Serfruit/Sersuport will continue as partners in addition to being the managers who lead these companies, giving continuity to the successful trajectory made.

The Giró Group is a leader in fruit and vegetable packaging. Headquartered in Badalona (Barcelona), founded in 1925, Giró is the inventor and world leader of the net packaging, has five production sites in Spain, one in the USA and one in France and commercial subsidiaries in the USA, Mexico, Germany and Italy, in addition to having a network of distributors that covers the five continents.

Serfruit, founded in 1990 and based in Náquera (Valencia) is a leading company in Spain that offers solutions for mechanization, automation and robotization of industrial equipment in different areas, especially in the fruit and vegetable sector.

With the integration of Serfruit, the Giró Group will consolidate more than 170 million euros in turnover and a headcount of 800 employees.

The commercial and technical teams of Giró and Serfruit/Sersuport will continue to operate in the same way as before, but taking advantage of many synergies, addressing integral projects and consolidating leadership together.
